Global index provider MSCI has announced its semi-annual index review, adding India's Coromandel International and FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa) to the MSCI Global Standard Index. The changes will become effective after market close on May 30, 2025. No deletions were made from the Standard Index in this review, and Paytm was not included. Nykaa's inclusion is expected to trigger passive inflows of approximately $199 million, while Coromandel International is projected to see inflows of around $252 million, according to estimates from Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research. Following the announcement, Nykaa shares rose as much as 3.2%, whereas Coromandel International shares declined by over 4%. In the MSCI India Smallcap Index, 11 stocks were added and 22 were deleted. Notable additions include Authum Investment, Dr. Agarwal's Health Care, Ixigo, Acme Solar Holdings, AWL Agri Business, Sagility, Hexaware Technologies, Sai Life Sciences, International Gemmological Institute, Godrej Agrovet, and Tata Technologies. Stocks added to the Smallcap Index are expected to receive inflows of up to $18 million in total. Coromandel International, as it moves to the Standard Index, is expected to see outflows of up to $51 million from the Smallcap Index. Other deleted stocks from the Smallcap Index may see outflows ranging from $2 million to $14 million. Separately, Vodafone Idea has announced the launch of its 5G services in Delhi-NCR, effective May 15, 2025. The company plans to expand 5G coverage to all 17 circles where it holds spectrum by August 2025. The introductory offer includes unlimited 5G data for users with 5G-enabled devices on plans starting at Rs 299. Vi has partnered with Ericsson for 5G infrastructure in Delhi-NCR, is deploying AI-powered Self-Organising Network technology, and is using a 5G Non-StandAlone (NSA) architecture. The 5G rollout is part of Vi's Rs 55,000 crore capex plan over three years.
