OpenAI has launched its AI agent, Operator, in India, enhancing its suite of generative AI technologies. The company reports that ChatGPT now boasts 400 million weekly users, a notable increase that underscores its growing influence in the AI market. This surge in user engagement is attributed to the widespread adoption of generative AI since the release of ChatGPT two years ago, which has reached approximately 300 million weekly users, comparable to the population of the United States. OpenAI is also anticipating substantial revenue growth, projecting that its earnings will more than triple this year, driven by the success of ChatGPT and a significant partnership with SoftBank. The introduction of Operator aims to streamline user interactions by utilizing web browsing capabilities to perform tasks autonomously, achieving state-of-the-art performance on various benchmarks.
