Additionally, a 22-year-old realtor in Bengaluru, identified as Mohan Kumar, was arrested for extorting over ₹2.5 crore from his former classmate by threatening to release private videos and photos. The police have recovered ₹80 lakh from the accused. These incidents highlight the increasing prevalence of cyber fraud in India, prompting calls for greater awareness and protective measures against such scams.
