The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has decided to review the functioning of top regulatory authorities in the country. As part of this review, the PAC has summoned key officials, including the heads of SEBI and TRAI, to testify on October 24, 2024. This review comes amid the ongoing Hindenburg-Adani row, with SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch among those expected to appear. Officials from the Department of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Finance have also been called to provide testimonies.
