Veteran actor Paresh Rawal said he will reprise his signature role of Baburao Ganpat Rao Apte in “Hera Pheri 3”, ending weeks of uncertainty over his participation in the long-delayed comedy sequel. In a podcast interview, Rawal described his brief withdrawal as a matter of “fine-tuning” among longtime collaborators Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and director Priyadarshan, adding that “there’s no controversy” now that creative differences have been resolved. Rawal’s exit in May prompted Kumar’s banner, Cape of Good Films, to seek Rs 25 crore in damages, while the actor returned his Rs 11 lakh signing fee with interest. Industry sources said the suit is expected to be withdrawn following the settlement. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala plans to start principal photography in January 2026, putting the original cast back together for the first time since 2006’s “Phir Hera Pheri.”
