Bollywood actor-producer Ajay Devgn released the trailer for “Son of Sardaar 2,” the sequel to his 2012 action-comedy, at a media event on Friday. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film moves the franchise’s setting from Punjab to Scotland and features Mrunal Thakur and Ravi Kishan alongside Devgn. The theatrical release is scheduled for 25 July 2025, the same day Kajol’s drama “Sarzameen” debuts on streaming platforms, setting up an informal box-office–OTT face-off. During the launch, Devgn fielded questions on several trending topics. Asked about the ongoing Hindi-Marathi language controversy, he responded with his signature line “Aata Majhi Satakli,” signaling support for linguistic harmony without expanding further. The actor also took a light-hearted stance on social-media memes mocking his finger-dance move in the song “Pehla Tu Duja Tu,” saying the step was harder than it looked and that he was pleased audiences found it amusing.
