The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed monetary penalties on several financial entities for regulatory breaches. Ola Financial Services was fined 3.3 million rupees and issued a compounding order for 5.4 million rupees. Visa Worldwide received a penalty of 24.1 million rupees and a compounding order for the same amount. Manappuram Finance was fined 41.50 lakh rupees, while Ola Financial Services and Visa were fined 87.55 lakh rupees and 240.75 lakh rupees, respectively. The penalties were related to violations of Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI) and Know Your Customer (KYC) rules. Visa was also fined nearly $288,000 for using an unauthorized payment method.
