The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has established a High-Level Committee (HLC) to address conflict of interest and disclosure requirements for its members and officials. The committee will be chaired by Pratyush Sinha, a retired IAS officer and former Chief Vigilance Commissioner. This initiative comes amid growing concerns regarding the integrity of financial regulators and their investment practices. The HLC is tasked with reviewing existing provisions and suggesting stricter rules to enhance accountability within SEBI.
