No Tree Felling Within 5 Km Of Taj Mahal Without Our Nod: Supreme Court https://t.co/3uZ5q50XLY https://t.co/nSChJ9NDWp
The Supreme Court of India has issued several rulings concerning environmental and property issues in Delhi and Agra. It has restrained the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and other authorities from relocating deer from the Deer Park in Hauz Khas to forests outside the state. Additionally, the Supreme Court rejected a proposal to cut down trees in Agra, emphasizing that no tree felling is permitted within a 5-kilometer radius of the Taj Mahal without prior approval from the court. Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court has directed the DDA not to take any coercive action against the Shahi Idgah committee amid allegations of illegal property sales. The court has also sought responses from the Delhi Waqf Board and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) regarding the Shahdara mosque's claims of illegal property transactions.
