Wipro Shareholders Oppose $4.33M Severance; Infosys CEO's Pay Rises to Rs 66.25 Crore

Wipro's majority public shareholders have opposed the $4.33 million severance package for former CEO Thierry Delaporte, with 78.4% of public shareholders voting against it. However, an overall shareholder vote showed 89.7% in favor of the resolution. Meanwhile, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh's annual compensation has grown to Rs 66.25 crore in FY24, making him the second-highest paid CEO in the Indian IT industry. Parekh's remuneration includes fixed pay, variable pay, retiral benefits, and stock incentives. His salary is next only to Delaporte's, who earned $20 million, including a severance-related package of Rs 92.1 crore.
