Indonesia's Ministry of Finance reported that the realization of the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program budget reached Rp 5 trillion by the end of June 2025, marking the first semester. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani projected the 2025 state budget deficit (APBN) to widen to 2.78% of GDP, equivalent to Rp 662 trillion, driven by increased government spending and lower-than-expected revenue. The budget burden is expected to grow heavier due to the MBG program and other expenditures. Social assistance disbursements (bansos) for April to June totaled Rp 21.19 trillion, benefiting over 23 million recipient families (KPM). The National Food Agency (Bapanas) reported budget realization of Rp 810.4 billion as of June 30, 2025, representing 29.98% of its total allocation. The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to distribute the second phase of the 2025 Family Hope Program (PKH) social assistance, with guidance available for recipients to check their status. Meanwhile, France's budget deficit worsened, reaching 94 billion euros year-to-date through May 2025, up from 69.3 billion euros in the previous year, accounting for 42% of government expenditures. In Spain, government public spending tightened, decreasing by 5.3% year-on-year between January and May 2025.
