The breach, which was disclosed in an SEC filing, affected a small percentage of ADT's subscribers. While the company has not specified when the breach occurred, it stated that its internal systems were compromised. ADT reassured customers that their security systems were not accessed during the breach. The stolen data has reportedly been advertised on the dark web.
