
Canadian authorities have arrested an alleged threat actor behind the data theft and extortion affecting more than 160 customers of the cloud service Snowflake, according to TechCrunch. The suspect now faces extradition to the United States. In a separate incident, Dean Skurka, the CEO of Toronto-based crypto company WonderFi, was kidnapped in broad daylight yesterday and held for a $1 million ransom before being released unharmed. Authorities are investigating both cases.
