Multiple organizations across the globe have reported significant cyberattacks in recent days. The hacking group Space Bears claimed to have breached Menzies CNAC, a Chinese aviation services company, exfiltrating sensitive data including financial documents and customer databases. In the UK, Metropolis Group, the publisher of Nursing Times and Property Week, faced a cyberattack that compromised personal data of current and former employees. The London School of Science & Technology was also targeted, with the Cactus hacking group allegedly stealing 845 GB of data, including personally identifiable information and confidential corporate documents. In Brazil, the RansomHouse group claimed to have breached Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo (Sabesp), which had previously announced a cyberattack on October 22. Additionally, the Rhysida ransomware group targeted Hope Valley Recovery, demanding a ransom of 10 BTC (approximately $700,000) with a deadline of November 8, 2024. Other incidents include a cybersecurity incident at South East Technological University in Waterford, which led to class cancellations, and attacks affecting several councils in the UK, including Portsmouth.
