In Oman, the Sarcoma ransomware group claimed to have breached Gulf Petrochemical Services & Trading, exfiltrating approximately 498 GB of data, including personal identifiable information (PII) and contracts. A ransom deadline has been set for December 15, 2024. In Mauritania, the Bashe hacking group reportedly breached Bankily, stealing around 1 GB of data that included customer information and administrative credentials, with a ransom deadline of December 13, 2024. Additionally, the Akira ransomware group has claimed responsibility for a breach at Cipla, an Indian pharmaceutical company, although the extent of the data stolen has not been fully detailed. In Romania, the energy supplier Electrica S.A. is undergoing a significant cyberattack, with the source of the attack still unidentified. The company has activated response protocols in collaboration with national cybersecurity authorities. Furthermore, reports indicate that clients of several French banks have been targeted by a new malware known as 'DroidBot', which aims to extract personal information. The National Information Technology Development Agency in Nigeria has also issued warnings regarding a new version of the Grandoreiro banking malware that threatens to steal banking details from users.
