Formlabs has announced the acquisition of 3D printing startup Micronics, which is currently in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign. The acquisition is aimed at accelerating Formlabs' mission to make SLS 3D printing more accessible, affordable, user-friendly, and faster. As part of the acquisition, Micronics' branding will be phased out. The founders of Micronics, Henry Chan and Luke Boppart, will join Formlabs to continue their work in advancing 3D printing technology.
