Microsoft Azure Outage Lasts Over Five Hours, Affects Security Services

Microsoft's Azure cloud service experienced a significant outage, affecting multiple services including Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and GitHub Actions. The outage, which lasted over five hours, impacted storage in the central US region and caused disruptions for many businesses. Non-regional outages also affected Azure security services. Microsoft has confirmed that mitigation efforts have been successful for all Azure storage clusters, and the majority of services are now recovered.
