A recent report by Microsoft has revealed a significant increase in cyberattacks targeting healthcare organizations, with 389 healthcare companies affected by ransomware this year. This follows a joint study by Security Score and KPMG, which found that 90% of companies in the energy sector that experienced multiple breaches had security vulnerabilities attributed to third-party vendors. Additionally, attacks against manufacturing companies now represent 25.7% of all reported cyberattacks in the enterprise sector, according to researchers from KnowBe4.
