Quantum Industries, a Vienna-based startup, has secured €10 million in funding to develop quantum-resistant communications technology aimed at protecting critical infrastructure from quantum threats. Founded by Drs. Tiefenbacher and Ursin, the company focuses on ensuring the security of essential services against both classical and quantum cyber-attacks. Additionally, Isidore Quantum, a product from Forward Edge-AI, is set to be launched on Rogue Space Systems’ Barry-2 CubeSat in March 2025, enhancing security across various domains including air, land, sea, and space. Telefónica is also testing quantum technology to safeguard smart meters for gas, water, and electricity, while SEALSQ and WISESAT are collaborating to provide ultra-secure, real-time IoT connectivity with post-quantum security, with launches planned for June, October, and December 2025 in partnership with SpaceX.
