In Oman, the Sarcoma ransomware group claims to have breached Gulf Petrochemical Services & Trading, exfiltrating 498 GB of data, including personal identifiable information (PII) and contracts, with a ransom deadline set for December 15, 2024. In the United States, the Interlock ransomware group allegedly accessed employee data and contracts at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC). Kurita America Inc., a subsidiary of Kurita Water Industries Ltd., suffered a ransomware attack on November 29, 2024, impacting multiple servers and potentially compromising customer data. ITO EN (North America) Inc., a subsidiary of ITO EN, experienced a ransomware attack on December 2, 2024, targeting file servers in Texas, USA. Artivion, a medical device company that manufactures implantable tissues, disclosed a cybersecurity incident on November 21, 2024, involving file encryption and data theft. In Spain, the Instituto Nacional de Investigación de Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA-CSIC) was attacked by the RansomHub ransomware group, with 112 GB of data exfiltrated. Canada’s Mint Pharmaceuticals was reportedly breached by the 8Base ransomware group, exposing sensitive documents and employment contracts. In Mauritania, the Bashe hacking group claims to have accessed 1 GB of data, including customer information, from Bankily, with a ransom deadline of December 13, 2024. Additionally, Cipla, an Indian pharmaceutical company, was targeted by the Akira ransomware group, with 70 GB of data allegedly stolen. Coffee Beanery, a U.S.-based company, was also breached by the Akira ransomware group, with internal financial documents and employee contact details exfiltrated. Romania’s Societatea Energetica Electrica S.A. is facing an ongoing cyberattack, with response protocols activated in collaboration with national cybersecurity authorities.
