
In recent days, there has been a significant increase in ransomware attacks targeting various organizations worldwide. The Hunters International ransomware group has listed Kenya Urban Roads Authority and Carigali Hess Operating Company as victims, with the former losing 18.4 GB of data. In the USA, the Meow ransomware group targeted First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, exfiltrating 400 GB of critical databases and demanding $100,000. The Brain Cipher group has targeted Sherbrooke Metals, while TPS Worldwide faced a ransomware attack on July 8, 2024, with 5 TB of data now allegedly for sale for $20,000. Evolve Bank, Dallas County, and Rite Aid have also suffered ransomware attacks. Additionally, the BlackBasta group has listed Atos Group and U.S. Dermatology Partners as victims, with the former losing 710 GB of data. MS Ultrasonic Technology Group was targeted by Hunters International, losing 3.7 TB of data, including PII and the CEO's data, with a ransom deadline set for July 19. Hewlett Packard Enterprise and BCS are also among the latest victims.
