A hacking group known as Codebreakers has claimed to have breached Sepah Bank in Iran, exposing data from 42 million customers, including military personnel. The hackers have reportedly obtained over 12 terabytes of sensitive information, which encompasses financial, identity, and transaction details. They issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the bank to negotiate and prevent the data from being sold. Reports indicate that the bank's executives have not yet responded to the demands. Following the breach, Sepah Bank threatened legal action against media outlets and individuals who share the leaked information. Additionally, the hackers released a list of high-deposit customers, including Hassan Polarok, a commander linked to the Quds Force, whose account balance was estimated at approximately 634 billion tomans, equivalent to about 6 million dollars. The incident has raised concerns regarding the security of the bank's data management systems.
