
The United States has imposed sanctions on two companies in the Central African Republic (CAR) for supporting the Russian Wagner Group's security operations and illegal mining activities. The sanctioned entities, Mining Industries SARLU and Logistique Economique Etrangere SARLU, have been linked to Wagner's mercenary activities and illicit resource extraction in the region. The U.S. Treasury Department announced these measures on Thursday as part of ongoing efforts to counter Russia's destabilizing activities globally.
