Wiz, an Israeli cloud security startup, has expanded its portfolio through the acquisition of Gem Security, a cloud detection and response startup, for $350 million. This marks Wiz's second acquisition, following its purchase of developer platform Rafft in 2023. The acquisition aims to enhance the detection and response capabilities of Wiz's cloud security platform. Wiz has also been recognized as the fastest growing SaaS company ever, achieving $100M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in approximately 18 months.
