Jordan is set to host a tripartite meeting on Tuesday involving Jordanian, Syrian, and American officials to discuss the situation in Syria and explore ways to support the country's reconstruction efforts. The meeting, confirmed by the foreign ministries of Jordan and Syria, as well as U.S. representatives, aims to address the challenges of rebuilding Syria after more than a decade of conflict and the ouster of former leader Bashar al-Assad by an Islamist-led rebellion. Tom Brak, the U.S. special envoy, emphasized that the meeting reflects a collective commitment to advancing a future in which Syria and its people can live in peace, security, and prosperity. Ahead of the trilateral meeting, Jordanian and Syrian foreign ministers held preliminary discussions in Amman. The meeting comes after the cancellation of a previously planned summit in Paris and follows ongoing diplomatic engagements, including Syria's interest in restoring Russian military police patrols in its southern provinces. The talks represent a coordinated effort by the involved parties to stabilize Syria and support reconstruction initiatives.
