They have also conducted simultaneous raids on related companies, political figures' offices, and the police agency, expanding inquiries into alleged election interference and influence-peddling. Meanwhile, the special prosecution team investigating the insurrection case filed a detention request for Yoon Suk Yeol on charges related to his declaration of martial law last December. After initial arrest warrant rejections, a Seoul court approved a new arrest warrant on July 9, marking Yoon's second detention in connection with the martial law case. Yoon has repeatedly refused to appear for questioning, prompting multiple forced summons attempts and a court review of the legality of his detention. Following his re-arrest, the prosecution imposed visitation restrictions excluding family and lawyers until formal indictment. Additionally, the marine special prosecution team has been conducting extensive raids and summons related to the so-called 'VIP anger meeting' and other allegations, including investigations of former security officials. In a related development, Colonel Park Jeong-hoon, previously cleared of charges, has been reinstated as head of the Marine Corps investigation unit after nearly two years. The prosecution continues to summon key figures linked to the investigations, including executives from Sambu Construction and political aides, as the legal proceedings against Yoon Suk Yeol and Kim Geon-hee's circle advance.
