Richard Azzopardi, spokesperson for former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Trooper 1—the state trooper who accused Cuomo of sexual harassment—and her well-known employment law firm, Wigdor LLP, alleging malicious prosecution. Azzopardi claims that Wigdor LLP filed a bogus retaliation claim against him after he referred to the sexual harassment suit against Cuomo as extortion.
