Recent reports indicate multiple violations of the STOCK Act by U.S. politicians, highlighting a growing concern over compliance with insider trading regulations. Representative Greg Landsman of Ohio filed 91 stock trades valued at approximately $924,000, with many trades exceeding the 45-day disclosure requirement. Notable trades included investments in United Rentals Inc. ($URI) and Uber ($UBER). Additionally, Representative Jared Moskowitz disclosed 84 stock trades worth about $1.26 million, all filed late, with some disclosures being over 404 days overdue. Moskowitz, who serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, previously bought Lockheed Martin stock ($LMT), which has appreciated by 30% since his purchase on February 13. In total, 11 politicians have reportedly violated the STOCK Act in the past two weeks, raising questions about the enforcement of these regulations by the House Ethics Committee.
