The El Dorado Task Force, known for its aggressive approach to combating international money laundering, has not disclosed the specifics of the inquiry. Both the Department of Homeland Security and Anchorage Digital have declined to comment on the matter. Anchorage Digital, a supporter of President Donald Trump's Digital Asset Agenda, has been previously noted by U.S. banking regulators for failing to meet anti-money laundering regulations in 2022. The bank was recently named by BlackRock as a custodian for their ETFs.
