The Royal Government of Bhutan has been actively transferring substantial amounts of Bitcoin (BTC) to Binance deposits over the past few weeks. Since late June 2025, Bhutan has moved approximately 749.3 BTC valued at around $86.36 million into Binance, with recent transfers including 213.5 BTC ($23.73 million), 212.31 BTC ($23.61 million), and 100.215 BTC ($11.83 million). Over the last two weeks alone, the total BTC transferred to Binance reached about 650 BTC ($74.24 million). Despite these transfers, Bhutan still holds a significant Bitcoin reserve of approximately 11,310 to 11,711 BTC, valued between $1.4 billion and $1.46 billion. The BTC holdings are managed by Druk Holdings and have reportedly been used to fund salary increases and healthcare aid. Additionally, Bhutan has sold around 2,100 BTC worth $188.7 million across five transactions over the past year. In a related note, Bulgaria sold 213,500 BTC in 2018 for $3.6 billion; that Bitcoin is now valued at approximately $25 billion, an amount close to Bulgaria's total public debt of $26 billion, indicating the potential financial impact of holding versus selling seized Bitcoin assets. Separately, Bitget has burned 30 million BGB tokens ($130.2 million) recently, totaling 860 million BGB ($5.25 billion) burned over the past eight months.
