Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has announced plans to distribute Midnight tokens, specifically NIGHT and DUST, to 37 million wallets across eight major blockchains in an initiative called the "Glacier Drop" airdrop. This distribution excludes venture capitalists and aims to foster cooperation within the cryptocurrency community through a "collaborative economics" model. Hoskinson also highlighted the potential development of the world’s first private stablecoin on the Cardano platform, addressing privacy concerns in the $243 billion stablecoin market. The Midnight project includes a privacy-focused sidechain with its mainnet in development.
