EtherFi has recently faced criticism for its handling of EIGEN rewards. Users who did not hold weETH during a snapshot in August have had their EIGEN rewards forfeited, regardless of previous liquidity provision. EIGEN claims are now open for ezETH stakers who held the token between April 15th and August 15th, with claims to be made before September 30th. Users can check their Season 2 EigenLayer Points on the Renzo Dapp in the Portfolio section. EtherFi's user interface currently shows total Eigenlayer points from the beginning for every account, causing confusion among users.
