Obol Collective has launched its $OBOL token, marking a key milestone for the Ethereum decentralized validator infrastructure project. After nearly five years of development, Obol's distributed validator technology (DVT) now secures over $1 billion in staked Ethereum across protocols such as Lido and EtherFi, supported by more than 800 independent node operators. The $OBOL token became available for trading and staking on May 7, 2025, with Binance leading the listings by opening Binance Alpha trading at 10:00 AM UTC, followed by Binance Futures perpetual contracts at 10:30 AM UTC, and spot trading at 11:00 AM UTC. Other major exchanges including Bybit, Bitget, MEXC, and Gate.io are also listing the token. The launch included an airdrop for eligible recipients. The project has received backing from Coinbase Ventures with a $21 million investment and has been recognized by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin for its importance to Ethereum's decentralization and reliability. Lido Finance congratulated Obol on the successful launch and confirmed staking integration with Tally.xyz. The decentralized validator vault offers ETH staking rewards and token incentives, contributing to the resilience of the Ethereum network. Prior to the $OBOL launch, Binance Futures also introduced new perpetual contracts for tokens including $ASR, $ALPINE, $B2, and $MILK, with $B2 already listed on HTX in the Innovation Zone alongside $DONKEY and $OBOL.

$ETH staking still falls over 3 issues: – keeping validators online 24/7 – one private key ≈ one fatal mistake – institutions tip-toe around unclear infra Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) from @Obol_Collective fixes all of them. If nodes drop, blocks keep signing; if a https://t.co/rHuYVmR2zO
