The Optimism Foundation has granted 25 million OP tokens, valued at approximately $42.5 million, to the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. This grant is part of a strategic partnership to develop a new layer-2 network named Ink, utilizing the OP Stack framework. The deal, which was initially valued at around $100 million when it was agreed upon earlier this year, aims to integrate Kraken into Optimism’s Superchain ecosystem. The announcement follows a significant surge in Bitcoin, which recently reached $71,000, marking a 5% increase and its highest level since March.
