Lens Chain, a new Ethereum-based Layer 2 blockchain developed by Avara, the parent company of DeFi platform Aave, has launched its mainnet. Designed for decentralized social media applications, Lens Chain facilitates the creation of SocialFi applications with features like token-gated feeds and social graphs. The mainnet launch includes support from Chainlink, ZKsync, and Avail, and has migrated over 650,000 users and 125GB of data from Polygon, using Aave's $GHO stablecoin for gas fees.
