Hyperliquid's $HYPE token has surged 176% since its launch, outperforming major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH). As part of a broader market development, FTX is set to begin distributing approximately $7 billion to creditors starting February 18, 2025, which is expected to inject significant liquidity into the cryptocurrency market. In addition to $HYPE's performance, Jupiter's JUP token will initiate buybacks using 50% of its protocol fees. Analysts are speculating that the upcoming FTX distributions could lead to a substantial flow of funds into Bitcoin and other altcoins, with estimates suggesting up to $18 billion could enter the market. The first phase of repayments will prioritize claimants with amounts of $50,000 or less, who will receive their total claims plus an additional 9% based on 2022 prices.
