Argentine midfielder José Paradela arrived in Mexico City on 8 July to complete a transfer from Necaxa to Cruz Azul ahead of the Liga MX Apertura 2025 season. The 26-year-old will undergo medical examinations before signing a four-year contract and is expected to be unveiled at the club’s headquarters on Thursday, 10 July. Cruz Azul agreed to pay about $8.5 million for Paradela, who was recruited at the request of head coach Nicolás Larcamón. Paradela made 19 league appearances for Necaxa this year, contributing eight goals and eight assists after joining the club from River Plate in January.
