Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has delivered credits through the ApoyArte program to women artisans of the Amuzgo community in Xochistlahuaca, located in Guerrero and Oaxaca. This initiative aims to ensure a dignified life for Mexican artisans and is backed by a budget of 500 million pesos, expected to benefit over 17,000 producers nationwide. Ahead of her first government report scheduled for September 1, Sheinbaum has launched political advertisements highlighting social welfare and health programs. She has also outlined a legislative agenda focused on judicial reform, customs, health, and the 2026 Economic Package. Nearly a year into her presidency, Sheinbaum maintains a 70% approval rating according to an August survey by Buendía & Márquez. She emphasized that funds previously lost to corruption are now redistributed to 82% of Mexican families. The president plans to present the progress of her administration, including pensions, scholarships, and reforms, in her upcoming report to Congress.
