Amnesty International has accused Israel of conducting a deliberate campaign of starvation against the population of the Gaza Strip. The human rights organization stated that Israel is systematically destroying the health, well-being, and social fabric of Palestinian life by imposing conditions intended to bring about physical destruction. Since the outbreak of the conflict in October 2023, Israel has maintained a siege on Gaza, affecting approximately 2.4 million Palestinians. Testimonies from displaced families and medical professionals highlight that children are dying from hunger due to the blockade and restricted humanitarian aid. Amnesty International characterized these actions as a grave crime against civilians and called attention to the international community's failure to hold Israel accountable over the decades. The report emphasizes that this policy of starvation is deliberate and calculated, severely impacting the civilian population in Gaza.
