Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades released video purporting to show a Merkava tank being struck with a Yassin 105 anti-tank shell near Dawla Junction on the southern edge of Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. The group said the attack took place on Saturday and described the tank as a “Zionist” target. Separately, the Al-Quds Brigades of Palestinian Islamic Jihad said it fired mortar rounds at Israeli troops operating east of Gaza City. The faction circulated images that it said documented the shelling of ‘invading forces’. Al-Qassam also published additional footage of what it called Operation “Stones of David,” claiming hits on Israeli armored vehicles and positions along the Khan Yunis and Salah al-Din fronts in southern Gaza. The battlefield assertions could not be independently verified, and no casualty figures were provided.
