A Palestinian paramedic and ambulance driver in Gaza made desperate efforts to revive a baby girl named Meryem Ma'ruf after an Israeli strike hit displacement tents in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. The paramedic was seen performing manual resuscitation and cardiac massage on the child while driving the ambulance to the hospital. Despite these attempts, the two-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries. The incident occurred amid ongoing Israeli shelling and airstrikes targeting residential areas in Gaza, including Al-Wehda Street and a residential tower west of Gaza City. The paramedic, Ahmad G Adwan, also recounted the emotional toll of being unable to save a young woman whose pulse was fading amid the intensified siege and bombardment. The situation highlights the severe humanitarian crisis and challenges faced by medical personnel in Gaza during the conflict.
