The U.S.- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has introduced a pilot reservation system to improve the distribution of food aid in Gaza. This new system allows families to reserve food parcels in advance, aiming to reduce crowding, chaos, and potential violent incidents at distribution sites. Individuals who register under the program are photographed, entered into a database, and issued ID cards with unique identifiers to ensure orderly and secure aid delivery. The initiative specifically seeks to prevent exploitation of the aid process by young, fit men, many of whom are affiliated with Hamas, who previously took advantage of first-come, first-served systems. On the same day, the GHF distributed more than 1.4 million meals across the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Indonesia contributed 800 tons of aid delivered by two military aircraft, with reports also noting a separate delivery of 17.8 tons of Indonesian assistance for Gaza.
