New York Yankees prospect Jasson Dominguez recorded the first triple of his major-league career in the fourth inning against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night, extending his recent hot streak to 22 hits in 66 at-bats (.333) over his last 21 games. Dominguez subsequently scored on an RBI single by shortstop Anthony Volpe, while catcher Austin Wells added a double as the Yankees strung together three consecutive hits in the frame. Despite the surge, New York trailed Toronto 3–2 with two outs and runners on the corners when the inning ended.
