Major League Baseball published its 2026 regular-season schedule on Tuesday, setting the earliest domestic Opening Day in league history. The season will begin on March 25 with the New York Yankees visiting the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park, a standalone game that precedes a 14-game slate the following day. On March 26, the Toronto Blue Jays will host the Oakland Athletics at Rogers Centre, while the Chicago White Sox make their first Opening Day appearance against a National League opponent when they face the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee. The Chicago Cubs will also open at Wrigley Field and are slated to finish their campaign in Boston. The Los Angeles Dodgers are scheduled to launch their season a day later, welcoming the Arizona Diamondbacks to Dodger Stadium on March 27. The Blue Jays will both open and close the 2026 season at home and will stage a marquee early-season series against the Dodgers in April. League planners built additional off-days into the calendar, continuing efforts to provide weather flexibility and reduce travel strain. Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park will stage the 96th All-Star Game on July 14, marking the city’s first midsummer showcase since 1996.
