461-foot splashball in Atlanta from Jordan Westburg! 💦 (via @Orioles) https://t.co/Ni3YeLUfyR
Have you ever seen a splashdown homer in Atlanta? Jordan Westburg goes 461 to dead center to give the Os the lead. https://t.co/C6Z98V2VDt
Westburg’s second homer in as many games in the series, a 2-run shot for a 3-2 O’s lead in third. Bummer would’ve had a great appearance…if he’d taken him out after two innings.
Jordan Westburg marked his return from a sprained left index finger with three hits, including a 461-foot home run to straightaway center, as the Baltimore Orioles edged the Atlanta Braves 3–2 on Friday night in Atlanta. Westburg’s third-inning two-run shot erased an early 2–0 deficit created by Austin Riley’s homer for the Braves. Tyler O’Neill, activated from the injured list after a shoulder impingement, singled and walked, reaching base twice in his first game back and helping to fuel Baltimore’s offense. The contributions from Westburg and O’Neill supported veteran right-hander Charlie Morton, who allowed six hits and two runs over 5⅓ innings against his former club. The win improves Morton to 5–0 in 10 appearances since May 10 and keeps the injury-thinned Orioles afloat while they await catcher Adley Rutschman’s return from an oblique strain.
