Here are five reasons why the DC Universe's Supergirl starring Milly Alcock could fly even higher than James Gunn's Superman. (And yes, Krypto is one of them.) https://t.co/09i9WwEkTa

DC Studios co-chief James Gunn has released the first teaser poster for “Supergirl,” confirming that the film will open in cinemas on 26 June 2026. The image shows Milly Alcock’s Kara Zor-El casually sipping a blue slush drink while spray-painting the words “Look Out” over her cousin Superman’s marketing line, a playful nod to the studio’s earlier campaign for the July-released “Superman.” “Supergirl” is directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, adapting Tom King’s Eisner-winning comic miniseries “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.” Alcock—who made a cameo introduction in Gunn’s “Superman”—leads a cast that includes Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills and Jason Momoa in his DCU debut as the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. DC Studios has not yet disclosed production timelines, but today’s early marketing push signals the next phase of Gunn’s “Gods and Monsters” slate is under way.
