Heavy Rain Triggers Flash Flooding in New Braunfels Texas

Heavy rainfall on 5 July caused flash flooding in New Braunfels, a city northeast of San Antonio, submerging roads and low-lying areas. Video from the scene shows rapidly rising water surrounding vehicles and flowing through residential streets. Flooding was also reported in nearby Seguin. As of early evening, local authorities had not released information on injuries, evacuations or damage estimates, and conditions remained hazardous while rain continued across the region.
