Aztec Minerals Hits 456 g/t AgEq Vein at Arizona’s Tombstone Project

Aztec Minerals Corp. reported the first assays from its 2025 reverse-circulation programme at the Tombstone project in southeastern Arizona, highlighting a high-grade intercept of 6.08 metres grading 253 grams per tonne silver and 2.26 g/t gold (456.6 g/t silver-equivalent) in hole TR25-03. The interval sits within a broader 50.3-metre zone averaging 89.7 g/t AgEq starting at 67 metres depth. Other holes in the Southern Extension of the historic Contention pit returned up to 62.5 metres at 40.7 g/t AgEq and 22.9 metres at 39.4 g/t AgEq. Ten reverse-circulation holes totalling 1,832 metres have been completed; assays for the first five were released, with additional results pending. The company has mobilised a second, core drill rig to test deeper carbonate-replacement deposit (CRD) targets beneath the near-surface oxide mineralisation. Chief Executive Officer Simon Dyakowski said the high-grade hit confirms the geologic model for the southern extension and ‘encourages continued expansion of the mineralised zone’. Tombstone, 100 kilometres southeast of Tucson, produced an estimated 32 million ounces of silver historically. Aztec holds an 85% interest in the 1,639-acre property and is working to outline bulk-tonnage, heap-leachable gold-silver resources while probing deeper CRD potential.
