The Miami Dolphins are evaluating several injuries after Saturday’s 24-17 preseason win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. Head coach Mike McDaniel said cornerback Ethan Bonner left in the first half with what appears to be a hamstring strain; the severity will be determined after further tests in Miami. Running back De'Von Achane is dealing with what McDaniel described as a non-severe soft-tissue lower-body issue, while defensive tackle Zach Sieler is also nursing a minor ailment. McDaniel indicated neither player is expected to miss extended time, calling both situations “not too long” in terms of recovery. On the field, undrafted rookie cornerback Ethan Robinson sealed the victory with an interception on the Dolphins’ 20-yard line with 22 seconds remaining. Miami rested most starters, giving backup quarterbacks Zach Wilson and Quinn Ewers extended snaps in the club’s second exhibition of the summer.
