Venezuela has agreed with Uruguay and Panama to reactivate consular services in their respective capitals, Caracas and Montevideo for Uruguay, and Caracas and Panama City for Panama. The foreign ministries of Venezuela, Uruguay, and Panama announced that these services will be resumed in the coming days to provide assistance and protection to their citizens. This move follows a period of suspended diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Panama since July 2024. The reactivation aims to address the consular needs of nationals from both countries and restore official consular activities that had been on hold.
